Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India Movement, Bikash Das, a 49 years old rifleman from Tripura has achieved a new feat – went to Delhi on a bicycle. He came back from Delhi to Agartala on Wednesday night.

Employed with Tripura State Rifles (TSR) 6th battalion, Bikash has been in this profession for the last 29 years. As cycling has always been his passion, Bikash Das, a resident of Bankumari of Agartala participated in several state-level bicycle expedition.
Das is a member of a cycling group whose passion is paddling around.
In this latest trip, he started his journey on February 11 last and reached India Gate in New Delhi on March 1 last.

In 20 days he travelled over 3500 kilometres covering states like Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. During this short trip, he met several people and interacted with them. He encourages people with his unique gesture of connecting North to Northeast. Taking a lot of memories from this trip, Das returns to Tripura.
