Mumbai: After the success of his first single Bachcha Party, Bappi Lahiri’s 12-year-old grandson, Rego B is back with another, titled Kal Chutti Hai. He wants to continue his family’s musical tradition and therefore, just like his grandfather, Rego has also sung a new-age pop song.

Grooving to the quirky lyrics crooned by lyricist Abhinav Nagar, the music for this kids’ vacation song has been given by famed composer Shameer Tandon. Choreographer Rahul Shetty has added some really cool steps to the song.
Collaborating with Saregama for the second time, Rego B said, “I had an absolutely lovely time shooting this song. It’s a hip-hop and new-age pop song. The beats and the rhythm of the song will immediately get you hooked once you hear it. It’s not a children song according to me, it’s for everyone because at the end who doesn’t love vacations.”

Creating the music for this song, Shameer Tandon said, “In this juggernaut of love & heartbreak songs being released on daily basis, I am happy to present innocent songs by children. I am excited to bring on board with late Bappi da’s grandson Rego B again with Kal Chutti Hai.”
Veteran composer and singer Bappi Lahiri passed in a Mumbai hospital on February 15. He was 69. Fondly known as Bappi da, he made India fall in love with disco. During the 1980s and 90s, he tasted huge success and earned the sobriquet of ‘Disco King’, courtesy his compositions in Disco Dancer (1982), Namak Halaal (1982), Commando (1985) and Dance Dance (1987).
