Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Anil Chauhan Visits Mizoram

 

The Indian Army’s Eastern Command Chief, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan, undertook a memorable two day visit to Mizoram from 20th of November to 21ST OF November, 2019 to provide all types of assistance to the security personnel and the army people posted there, who work day and night to provide security to all.

The Army Commander met and greeted Shri PS Sreedharan Pillai, and also conducted a couple of meetings with him. Apart from him, he also had meetings with other notable personalities such as the Hon’ble Governor at Raj Bhavan and Shri Zoramthanga, the Chief Minister of Mizoram. It was a good initiative on his part and his visit did strengthen the friendly ties with Mizoram.

 

Indian Army”s Eastern Command chief, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan also met P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Mizoram to express his gratitude and respect.

In fact, along with the Army Commander, some other senior military officials were present who also visited the Indo-Myanmar Border along with him, in order to meet and interact with some other security personnel who were deployed there. The Army Commander was full of praise for them and gave them best wishes for their actions and performance, and recognized their professionalism and dedication towards their work. He paid a lot of respect to them and so did all the senior officers. He asked them to continue the work that they are doing and asked them to live up to the motto “Friends Of The North East”. Also, he spoke to the personnel and troops of the Assam Rifles for their tremendous dedication and their role towards spreading peace, sanctity and tranquility all across the region.
