Techno India group along with Intuit Lab have introduced such courses to keep up with modern times.Techno India already boasts of 100 knowledge campuses including universities, engineering colleges, business schools and upcoming medical colleges.With a focus on International Relations, Techno group has tied up with Intuit Lab, the French educational Institute of design, strategy and visual communication. Intuit Lab has it’s India operations in Mumbai.

The vision of industry veterans is to build a culture and not just a school. After generating a good response from Mumbai, these courses are coming to Kolkata with a rich cultural heritage of artwork. Proper training will enable the youth to learn and showcase their talents.
Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Director, Global operations of Techno group said, “We did not expect the two founders of Intuit Lab,Clement Derock and Frederic Lalande to fly down from Paris for our first meeting in Mumbai. Apart from designs and education we had a lot of things in common like the philosophy of changing society and the nation through education. Inuit Lab started their first designing agency 30 years ago in Paris.”
More About The Courses
The good news is there are no age restriction for those wanting to pursue their passion while students passing out from school can apply right after class 12. Techno India University is granting a 3 years undergraduate course and one year postgraduate course in for the 3 subjects and each class can accommodate 30 students. A higher secondary degree from any stream will help students to apply for undergraduate courses while for postgraduate courses, a graduate degree is needed.
The course fee structure will be Rs.3 Lakhs. There are also integrated scholarship opportunities for underprivileged students based on their rank in the entrance exam.Application forms for these courses are available from the 9th of December and students who qualify after filling up the forms will be called for an interview session. The basic scrutiny will be on basis of the passion and basic knowledge about designing. Eligible students will then be selected to sit for entrance exams.
Job Placements
Techno group is brimming with confidence and is optimistic of internships and placements for students. Internships will be provided after six months with International internship opportunities for students based on their performance.

Roy also added, “We don’t have as such competition in the Kolkata market, but Symbiosis in Pune and Srishti Design studio in Chennai are our competition. This is our way to revive the city’s rich culture,giving students opportunities within Kolkata instead of going to other states to opt for better education.”
Kolkata after all is the land of erstwhile filmmaker Satyajit Ray and artists like Jamini Roy. This initiative hopes to motivate students passionate about designing, to further hone their creative side before stepping out into the professional world.
