Mumbai: Australia and Royal Challengers Bangalore star cricketer Glenn Maxwell has tied the knot with his long-time Indian origin girlfriend Vini Raman days ahead of the beginning of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
Maxwell took to Instagram to share the news by posting a picture of the couple.
He wrote, “Mr and Mrs Maxwell | 18.03.22.”
Several of his Australian teammates and Indian cricketers have congratulated the couple on social media.
IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had retained Maxwell, a hard hitting batsman, for Rs 11 crore in Nov 2021.

RCB will start their IPL journey this season against Punjab Kings on March 27, a day after the tournament begins this year.
Glenn Maxwell and Vini Raman have been dating for over two years now. The couple had announced their engagement via Instagram posts in February 2020. Vini is a pharmacist based in Melbourne. She belongs to a Tamil family living in Australia.
Meanwhile, at the IPL mega auction 2022, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan (Mumbai Indians) became the most expensive buy at Rs 15.25 crore, followed by pacer Deepak Chahar (Chennai Super Kings) for Rs 14 crore and batsman and former Delhi Daredevils skipper Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders) for Rs 12.25 crore.
