Today a joint inspection of Ghat preparation for Kali puja immersion and Chhat Puja snan was done by CP HPC along with commissioner HMC, senior Officers of Howrah City police, SDO Sadar and other officials of HMC and civil department. The ghats of the Ganges hold paramount importance concerning the security of Howrah. Like every year, this year too the Howrah Police authorities have come up with strict vigil, ensuring safety measures for the local citizens. Kali Puja immersion and Chhat Puja do attract huge crowd every year.
