Kolkata: We can’t wait to watch Jeet as Raavan in his Eid release. His intimidating and revengeful look with bloodshot eye in MN Raj’s debut directorial has caught our attention the day the Bengali film went on floors. As someone who is known for experimenting with his looks, Jeet springs surprises in each film. Before the Bengali superstar starts promotion of his Eid release, on Wednesday, he surprised his fans with the announcement of his new film, Chengiz.
A period film revolving around the city where the major events are set in the 90s, Chengiz will soon go on floors. Jeet teams up with his 2014 Bengali film The Royal Bengal Tiger director Rajesh Ganguly for Chengiz. For those who have watched The Royal Bengal Tiger starring Abir Chatterjee and Jeet will vouch that it was a well-executed project.
In Raavan, Jeet’s production house is launching a fresh face in Tollywood with Lahoma Bhattacharya. On Monday, the actor took to his social media to present the ‘lady love’ in Raavan. With Chengiz, Jeet Filmworks Pvt Ltd is bringing another new pair in town — Jeet and actress Susmita Chatterjee. We have seen Susmita in Anindya Chatterjee’s college romance Prem Tame. Soon, she will be seen in Arindam Sil’s Khela Jokhon. Shataf Figar will also play a key role Chengiz.
Given the Asur actor experiments with his looks, we look forward to the extent he goes to change his look for Ganguly’s film.
Meanwhile, the fans can’t wait for the Bengali superstar to reveal updates on Raavan, which will hit theatres on Eid. Recently, Jeet had a message for his fans. “To my fans -I am humbled for the care, concern & love you guys have been showing towards #Raavan. I have been reading each n every comment that you guys have made… Soon there will be a few updates on your way & We promise the visuals will be worth the wait ! Heartfelt,” he tweeted.
