Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to tie knot in mid-April

Mumbai: Finally, the wedding that everyone is talking about is waiting to happen. Well, we are talking about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding. As per several reports, the Bollywood couple will tie the knot in the second week of April. The wedding festivities will likely take place between April 13 and April 17.

The wedding dates are being shifted due to the ailing condition of Alia Bhatt’s maternal grandfather Narendra Nath Razdan. Also reports suggest, the wedding will take place at Kapoor’s ancestral home, RK House. However, Randhir Kapoor has denied all such reports.

Pinkvilla mentioned that the venue has been fixed by Ranbir. Around 450 people will be attending the wedding, which will be handled by Shaadi Squad wedding planners. Reports say the near ones have been asked to keep themselves free from the second week of April. Though the Kapoors wanted the wedding to happen in April end, the Bhatt family is eager the ceremony happens as early as possible as Alia Bhatt’s maternal grandfather, is not keeping well.

Meanwhile, Randhir Kapoor said he is not aware of any shaadi happening at RK House. “I don’t know why people take such liberties with Alia and Ranbir. They are to get married in the RK house? I have heard no such thing. Not that I am aware of,” he told Bombay Times.  

For the unversed, Ranbir’s parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor also got married at RK House on January 20, 1980.

Reports suggest Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali are on the invitation list. Invitations have also been sent to Arjun Kapoor, Masaba Gupta, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra apart from Ranbir’s cousins Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karishma Kapoor.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been dating for quite a number of years now. Recently, while promoting Rishi Kapoor’s last film Sharmaji Namkeen, Ranbir said in an interview, “I won’t give out a date during a media interaction. But Alia and I have all the intentions of getting married soon, so yes, hopefully soon.”

Meanwhile, the couple has just wrapped up the shooting of the film after five years. This is their first movie together and they started dating while working on the film. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra releases on September 9, 2022.
