Relief aid by Assam Rifles to the Underprivileged Students at Thinghat , Manipur


In view of the COVID19 pandemic which has disrupted the supply chains in remote areas of Manipur, a series of relief activities have been carried out by Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles to help the needy people tide over the crisis.

On 01 May, a camp for distribution of humanitarian relief was org by Thinghat Battalion at Jawaharlal Nehru Bal Bhavan being run in conjunction with a org called SHARE (Social and Human Action for Rural Empowerment). The School hosts students who either hail from families with income below poverty line or are orphans.

Assam Rifles reaches out to help the destitutes during the Corona Lockdown

The school was provided with commodities of daily use such as bathing soaps, washing soaps, toothpaste, hair oil etc and some rations. The school and the locals appreciated the gesture & expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles which has been providing constant help to the locals and living up to their name friends of the hill people
