Mumbai: Last year in August, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were in Russia’s St. Petersburg. They shot several crucial scenes for their upcoming Bollywood film, Tiger 3 in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s hometown of St. Petersburg. Katrina even shared a video touring the streets of Saint Petersburg. On Thursday, massive anti-war protests broke out on the streets of St. Petersburg. According to Business Insider, police in Russia arrested nearly 1,400 people for staging anti-war demonstrations after Puti declared war on Ukraine. A beautiful country, Ukraine has always been a popular location for film shoots among the Indian directors. Several Indian films have been shot in Ukraine.

The final schedule of SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited period film starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn took place in Ukraine. The team headed to the country in August 2021. They shot the famous Naatu Naatu song in Ukraine. Jr NTR, Ram Charan and others stayed in Kyiv for more than two weeks for the shoot. The actors shared several moments from their shoot on social media.
Remember Akshay Kumar as bird-man Pakshirajan in Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0. Director Shankar had shot a song, Roja Khadal with Amy Jackson in Ukraine. Composed by AR Rahman, the song was shot in Ukraine’s Tunnel of Love. Other scenes were also shot in the country.
Directed by Rajath Ravishankar, this Tamil film was largely based on former Indian skipper Kapil Dev. The film stars Karthi, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan. A lot of scenes from the film were shot in Ukraine.
According to director Gopichand Malineni, this 2017 Telugu action-comedy film is India’s first film to be shot in Ukraine. Starring Sai Dharam Tej, Rakul Preet Singh and Jagapati Babu, the film was shot in Kyiv, Lviv and Istanbul.
This Hindi musical, co-written and produced by A R Rahman 99 Songs, had a long shooting schedule in Ukraine. “99 Songs was shot in India and the makers finished a “long shooting schedule in Ukraine,” said the makers. Starring Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, the film had its world premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival.
