Mumbai: Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai actor Saanand Verma has a lot of expectations from the second season of Apaharan, releasing on March 18. Directed by Santosh Singh, created by Ekta Kapoor, Apaharan 2 features Arunoday Singh, Nidhi Singh and Snehil Dixit Mehra, and has been one of the much-awaited projects. The actor hopes that the audience will like the second season as much as they enjoyed the first.
“I have a lot of expectations from Apaharan 2 because the first season has been successful. In fact, it became a cult show. We have shot the second season abroad and people will get the feel of an international web series,” says the actor, who reprises the role of Dubey in Apaharan 2.

“This time around you will see Dubey in a new avatar and with a much bigger problem in his life to deal with. In fact to resolve his problems, he goes abroad where he meets Rudra again. The track is thrilling,” he says.
Verma feels OTT gives a lot of satisfaction as a performer. Praising the space that allows narratives to thrive, he says, “On OTT, there is more freedom to express our creativity. I enjoy OTT the most, though I’m doing films more these days. When it comes to films, you just have to be a little more careful of the censor board. In such cases, OTT allows much freedom.”
However, the Chhichhore actor admits the magic of big screen is electrifying. “Films always have that larger-than-life feeling. One can communicate the details a lot better in movies. But in today’s time, when everyone is pressed for time, OTT comes as a blessing,” he signs off.
