Mumbai: SRK fans couldn’t be more thrilled. After Shah Rukh Khan announced the release date of his forthcoming film Pathan (January 25, 2023), now the Badshah of Bollywood is coming up with his own OTT platform. On Tuesday, he took to his Twitter to share the announcement of his new OTT platform SRK+.
In the poster, the actor is seen giving a thumbs up next to the font ‘SRK+ coming soon’. “Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein,” the superstar tweeted.
Interestingly, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap quote-tweeted SRK’s tweet and announced his collaboration with King Khan. “Dream come true! Collaborating with @iamsrk on his new OTT app, SRK+,” tweeted the Manmarziyaan filmmaker.

\Shah Rukh’s friend and one of his favourite directors in Bollywood, Karan Johar, also cheered for the Pathan actor. “Biggest news of the year. This is going to change the face of OTT. Super excited,” the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director tweeted.
Salman retweeted SRK’s post, adding: “Aaj ki party teri taraf se @iamsrk. Congrats on your new OTT app, SRK+.”
Producer Ekta Kapoor is one of the first in Bollywood to launch her streaming service ALTBalaji. Soon, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma production house’s Clean Slate Filmz will be launching her OTT platform called Clean OTT. Women-centric stories will rule her content library. Actor Shreyas Talpade, who caught attention in the trailer of Kaun Pravin Tambe? had launched his video streaming platform Nine Rasa last year. The video streaming service shows plays and other performing arts. Ace Bollywood producer and director Aditya Chopra has been planning to launch OTT streaming service under Yash Raj Films for some time now. It will called YRF Entertainment.
A few days ago, it was reported that SRK’s son Aryan Khan is all set to make his debut in Bollywood, but unlike his father, he will not be in front of the camera. Aryan, who graduated from the University of Southern California in 2020, has a degree in Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, Film and Television Production, and he is all set to put those skills to work.

The 24-year-old star son is preparing to write a story for both a web series on an OTT platform, and a feature film. While Aryan is reportedly in talks with an OTT platform for a web-series, he is also working on a feature film, to be produced by his father’s Red Chillies Entertainment. If all goes according to plan, Aryan’s OTT series may go on floors this year itself. So, let’s see if Aryan makes his web for his father’s OTT platform or not.
