Witnessing people flourish outside the four walls of a fitness centre owing to the hard work inside the gym is what makes Shalini’s fitness journey remarkable.
Shalini Bhargava, Director and Founder of JG’S Fitness Centre, runs the IFAI (Indian Fitness and Aerobic Institute) where new methodologies and training techniques are taught to aspiring fitness trainers to take their passion for fitness to another level. At IFAI, she aims to improve the professional morals of the fitness industry by setting high standards and certifications.

Having been in the fitness industry for 20 years, Shalini has enhanced in-depth knowledge of fitness. She has mastered the nuances as well as gained a holistic perspective about this field. She believes a person need not necessarily be slim but should rather understand the importance of fitness and adopt a healthy lifestyle by making exercise and lifestyle changes an integral part of our daily lives.
Holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Narsee Monjee
Institute of Management, Mumbai, she also holds various certifications from reputed International Associations such as ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist, ACE certified Lifestyle and Weight Management consultant, NSCA certified Personal Trainer, Stott Pilates Certified Mat and Reformer Instructor AFAA certified personal Trainer, Group Exercise Trainer, Kickboxing Trainer, Step aerobics trainer among others. In fact, added to the above-mentioned ones, she is also a Masala Bhangra Certified Ambassador (Master Trainer) and also a Zumba Certified Instructor- Step Zumba and also has a Schwinn Cycling Certified Instructor, along with Yoga Science Diploma, Yoga Institute, Mumbai.
At JG’s Fitness Centre, with the help of dedicated and certified trainers, nutritional counseling, and state of the art infrastructure, Shalini has aimed to maximize the potential of members toward achieving their goals. Shalini notes, “Whether anyone’s goal is to burn fat, tone or add muscle, build strength, increase flexibility or improve cardiovascular health, and in the process improve the quality of life and wellbeing, we are there with our members all the way”.
Being the Master Trainer for Masala Bhangra, Shalini has trained and mentored Masala Bhangra Ambassadors across Asia, Europe, the United States and Australia, and has also presented this dance-fitness-workout at various conventions, workshops and other events.
She is also a Celebrity Fitness Trainer to Madhuri Dixit, Dr. Sriram Nene, Sandip Soparrkar to name a few, excluding numerous other celebrities who have been members at JG’s Fitness and others who continue to be.
With the introduction of Dance with Madhuri (DWM), a segment that focuses on Bollywood Dance Fitness, Shalini proudly treasures her association with the team. She not only heads the fitness section at DWM but is also the Program Director for Bollyout – a form of dance workout introduced by team DWM.
In the coming years, Shalini only wishes to continue adding to this enriching journey by educating and inspiring people worldwide, and passing on her love for fitness through systematic, rhythmic and thoroughly-designed workouts.
