Kolkata: Congratulations to Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor. The Neerja actress is expecting her first child with husband Anand Ahuja. On Monday, she took to Instagram to share the happy news with pictures from her maternity shoot.
In the pictures, Sonam Kapoor is seen cradled by Anand as she lies down keeping hands on her baby bump. Sonam added the hashtags #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022 with her post.

For the maternity shoot, Sonam Kapoor wore a black full-shelves monokini and was seen resting her head on Anand’s lap. The first photo shows Sonam cradling her baby bump while lying on the couch with Anand. In the last photo, the parents-to-be can be seen sharing a hearty laugh.
Bollywood celebrities and fans wished the couple on their big news. Kareena Kapoor wrote, “Wohoooooooo soooo happy for you both. Can’t wait for the babies to play.”
Janhvi Kapoor wrote, “OH MY GOD WHAT!!!!!!!” Dia Mirza wrote, “Such wonderful news!!! So happy for you.” Ananya Pandey wrote, “Congratulations.”
Sonam and Anand tied the knot in May 2018. She is the eldest daughter of actor Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor. Rumours of her pregnancy surfaced in July last year and Sonam even shared a boomerang video in which she was seen drinking a hot drink. She captioned the post, “Hot water bottle and ginger tea for first day of my period…”
Sonam was last seen in The Zoya Factor alongside Dulquer Salmaan in 2019. However, in the 2020 Netflix project AK vs AK where her father Anil Kapoor acted, she had a cameo.
