Swachh Bharat Abhiyan observed at Air Force Station Arjan Singh on Gandhi Jayanti

Last year, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi categorically stated that a clean India is no doubt the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary. It has been eventful five years as on 2nd October 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement.

 

The Air Force Station Arjan Singh Panagarh also took part in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

 

There is no denying the fact that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India. This year, Shri Narendra Modi led a cleanliness pledge at India Gate, which about thirty lakh government employees across the country joined. He also flagged off a walkathon at Rajpath and surprised people by joining in not just for a token few steps, but marching with the participants for a long way. The Air Force Station Arjan Singh Panagarh also took part in this noble mission. 

  

In 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement.

 

Air Force Station Arjan Singh Panagarh, conducted Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign on 2nd October 2019. Air Cmde D Vedajna, Air Officer Commanding, inaugurated the campaign and handed over the campaign flag to Wg Cdr Gajanand Yadava who undertook a skydive jump with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan flag. The jump was undertaken from a C-130 from 15,000 feet above the ground. Wg Cdr H Bhatt was the captain of the aircraft and Warrant Officer RD Mishra was the aerial cameraman.
