“Swachhata Mission Pakhwada” Observed At Various Air Force Stations

Air warriors and families participated voluntarily in the Swachhata campaign at Air Force Stations Arjan Singh, Panagarh, AF stn Barrackpore, AF stn Bagdogra, AF stn Kurseong, AF stn Purnea with great zeal and enthusiasm on 07 December 2019 in furtherance of Govt of India initiative towards Swachhata Mission by plogging awareness drive branded as “Plastic se Raksha-Swachhata hi Suraksha” as part of Swachhata Pakhwada. The drive was led by the Air Officer Commanding of the respective stations.

Personnel undertook Swachhata Mission to create great awareness in society against plastic waste. Air warriors were also sensitized to discourage use of all types of plastic items for which an alternative exists.

The aim of the drive was to inculcate Swachh abhiyan as part of a daily life. Such Abhiyan is ingrained in armed forces society and the benefits are being accrued by the residents I of the respective units/camps as evident for decrease in number of vector borne diseases
