T-Series makes India proud, becomes first channel globally to surpass 200 million subscribers on YouTube

When T-Series shattered all records and crossed the milestone of 200 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming the first-ever channel in the world to do so, Bhushan Kumar knew exactly who he wanted to thank. “This is indeed a proud moment for all Indians given that a homegrown company has become the first channel to cross a colossal 200 million subscribers mark on YouTube. We are truly grateful to our discerning fans across the world for showering our content with so much love and admiration,” says Bhushan Khan, chairman and managing director of T-Series.

The achievement comes after India’s largest music label and movie studio witnessed a remarkable growth, churning out not only finest music but also a wide range of films under its banner. With a cumulative of 29 channels across languages and genres, the total subscriber base for the T-Series network is more than 383 million with over 718 billion views.

In fact, this isn’t the first time T-Series has set a record. In 2019, T-Series has set a Guinness World Record when it became the first YouTube channel to surpass 100 million subscribers.

Thrilled to be the premiere Indian YouTube channel to hit such a massive subscriber base, Bhushan Kumar says the success “reinforces our belief that content is and will always remain king.” He also congratulates the team for the amazing feat.
