Kolkata: Slum kids and Tollywood celebrities walked the ramp for city-based fashion designer Anushree Malhotra and social worker Arpita Chakraborty’s NGO Tanuz Vocational Training Society.
Malhotra launched new range of organic clothes, Khudey at the fashion show. To encourage the kids, many celebrities from the Bengali film industry including Sudipta Chakraborty, Debjani Chatterjee, Chandreyee Ghosh, Sohini Sarkar, Sampoorna Lahiri sashayed down the ramp. Actors Sayantani Guha Thakurta, Anuradha Mukherjee, Om Sahani, Mimi Dutta, Gulshanara Khatun and Remoo were also present.

Anushree is thankful to the Tollywood celebrities for supporting the cause. “Khudey is a new venture of Tanuz Vocational Training Society. With this new brand of organic clothes, we are starting a new journey of a dream project. I am thankful to all the celebrities, who came here to support us.”
Tanuz Vocational Training Society works for the underprivileged women and slum kids of Dhapa. Since 2020, the NGO has been working hard to provide a better health to the women by empowering them. The NGO also tries to provide education to the slum kids of Dhapa. Anushree even included the women in making of the clothes for the new organic range, Khudey.

“The makers of these dresses struggle each day. Our team consists of women, who regularly fight the hardship of life. Khudey is another step to be with the underprivileged people,” said Arpita.
