Inside Heritage International Xperiential School (HIXS): 2027-28 Admissions, Fees & Review
Heritage International Xperiential School (HIXS) consistently dominates the conversation among affluent families and corporate professionals researching the best IB World Schools in Gurugram. Located across premier residential hubs, HIXS has built a massive reputation by completely rejecting rigid classroom constraints and rote memorization in favor of a modern, experiential framework. Students thrive here because the school replaces the stress of cramming with creative freedom and an extremely supportive, collaborative culture. Instead of traditional textbooks, learning is executed through “learning expeditions”—hands-on, real-world projects and immersive field trips that utilize the school’s hyper-modern infrastructure.
To maintain a highly personalized learning environment for different age groups, the institution operates across two primary locations:
- Primary Campus (DLF Phase 5, Gurugram): Dedicated to younger learners from Nursery to Grade 2, ensuring small-group attention.
- Middle and Senior Campus (Sector 59, Gurugram): Serving Grades 3 through 12 near the IREO Grand Arch, this campus is equipped with advanced lab facilities, modern classrooms, and extensive sports complexes.

University Placements & College Counselling
A major factor driving HIXS’s popularity among corporate executives is its highly incubated college placement cell. The school has established strategic relationships with the admissions offices of the world’s most prestigious universities.
Recent HIXS graduates have successfully secured placements at top-tier global institutions, including:
- US Ivy League & Elite: Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale College, Brown University, UCLA, and Duke University.
- UK & Europe: Oxford University, London School of Economics (LSE), UCL, and University of Edinburgh.
- Canada & Asia: University of Toronto, McGill University, and National University of Singapore (NUS).
2027-28 Admissions Criteria & Waitlist Status
Securing a seat at HIXS is highly competitive. The school allocates early admissions based on priority points, which include neighborhood proximity, sibling enrollment, alumni status, and the parents’ alignment with the school’s experiential learning philosophy.
Applications for the 2027-28 academic year are currently open. However, Nursery applications are officially closed, and interested parents must now join a waitlist. For Nursery, the child must be a minimum of 3 years old as of July 1st of the academic year. Admissions for higher grades (Grades 1-9 & 11) depend strictly on seat availability and require students to clear an entrance evaluation assessing English, Mathematics, and Science skills.
Estimated Fee Structure
Financial planning for HIXS requires an understanding of their multi-tiered billing system.
- One-Time Admission Fee: ~₹2,50,000 (Non-refundable).
- Security Deposit / Caution Money: ~₹1,74,900 to ₹2,07,500 (Refundable, depending on the grade).
- Annual Composite/Tuition Fee: Ranges between ₹4,50,000 to ₹6,50,000+ per annum, payable in quarterly installments.
- Note: Meals, transport, uniform/dress, external exam fees, and out-of-station camps/trips are billed separately.
Daily Logistics, Transport & The Non-Uniform Policy
HIXS Middle and Senior Campus students must report by 7:35 AM, with the senior school day generally concluding between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM.
One of the most defining characteristics of HIXS is its strict non-uniform policy. There is no prescribed uniform style or color; students are expected to wear smart, modest, and comfortable semi-formal clothing that highlights their individuality. Wearing the school lanyard at all times is mandatory. While private car drop-offs are allowed, student-driven motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited for environmental and safety reasons.
Transport Facilities: The school operates an optional, highly secure AC bus network equipped with GPS tracking and route managers. To optimize commute times, HIXS generally does not operate routes in Old Gurgaon, New Gurgaon, or Palam Vihar; instead, the school transport desk helps parents in these areas coordinate shared private hired carpools. Transport fees are computed separately from the composite fee and are charged across 11 months, typically split into 4 installments.
The Zero-Junk Mid-Day Meal Program
HIXS provides an exceptional, optional mid-day meal service professionally managed by institutional catering experts Chartwells (Compass Group India). The weekly menus are systematically published for parents online via the school portal.
The 100% vegetarian kitchen operates under strict international Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles and a firm “Zero Junk Food Policy”. Aerated drinks, deep-fried trans-fats, and refined sugars are completely excluded, substituted with millets (like Jowar), whole grains, and fresh salad stations. While the kitchen adheres to high hygiene standards, customized catering for distinct allergies is restricted, and parents must notify the administration of severe medical allergies in writing.
Quarterly Meal Pricing (Billed Separately, Pro-Rata Adjustable):
- Nursery to Grade 2: ₹15,030 (Single Meal Plan) / ₹22,650 (Double Meal Plan).
- Grades 3 to 4: ₹18,390 (Single Meal Plan) / ₹27,780 (Double Meal Plan).
- Grades 5 to 12: ₹18,390 (Single Meal Plan only).
Co-Curriculars & Mastery Strands
Rather than treating extracurriculars as an afterthought, HIXS splits its holistic curriculum into deep vertical “Mastery Strands”.
- The Arts & Tech: Heavy integration of Design Thinking, Maker Engineering, Robotics, Visual Arts, Theater, and specialized Music.
- Sports: Premium advanced infrastructure supporting swimming, basketball, tennis, football, and gymnastics.
- House System: Students are sorted into vertical Houses to build internal peer communities, fostering healthy competition via intra-school athletics, debates, and cultural fests.
Campus Tour Logistics & Pedagogy Leadership
The experiential learning framework at HIXS is spearheaded by leading global educators, including Director Dr. Chris Stevens and Head of Pedagogy Prerna Shivpuri, who actively guide the school’s rigorous, unique curriculum.
Before committing to the admission process, parents are highly encouraged to book an official campus tour. The Middle & Senior Campus tour (Grades 3–12) is a comprehensive guided walkthrough lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. Primary Campus tours (Nursery–Grade 2) must be scheduled through a separate dedicated booking link. Visitors are strictly required to arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled slot to complete campus security checks. If a slot is missed due to lateness or absence, the school requires parents to entirely reschedule their visit via Calendly based on future availability.
